Manchester United have some special talents currently at the club, but Amad Diallo only expects one to become a history-maker.

So far this season Amad Diallo has been an ever-present for Manchester United, forcing his way into the starting line-up through excellent performances as he makes good on his potential.

With these displays, Amad has earned himself talk of a new contract which would be more than deserved as his importance continues to grow

Despite not being from the academy, Amad sits alongside Alejandro Garnacho, Kobbie Mainoo, Rashford as the young talents changing the game for Erik ten Hag.

Now, Amad has been discussing his young teammates, labelling one as a potential best player in history.

Speaking on the Sky Sports Premier League YouTube channel, Amad has been asked about his two talented teammates.

Amad Diallo: “The fastest player? Rashy [Rashford]. There’s also Rasmus [Hojlund]. He’s very fast. And maybe me [laughs].

The ranking if there is a race? Rashy, Rasmus, Garna [Garnacho], Antony and me.”

Continuing, Amad was asked about Garnacho to which he was also full of praise.

“Garnacho is an amazing player. I like him because he wants to push, you know. He wants to push, he wants to reach his potential.”

There has been a trend in recent years that the star players for United are often those who come from the academy – with Garnacho and Mainoo both glowing examples of that.

Ineos clearly want to utilise the academy, something United has done for years and years and it’s a strategy we can absolutely get behind.
