Following the game Konate jokingly suggested that he deserved the Man of the Match award  After Liverpool defeated Wolves 2-1, Konate and Gravenberch chatted with the media. The defender was perplexed after the game as to why he had not been named Man of the Match, but Arne Slot sternly told him that it was his fault for surrendering.
