The Reds had a poor first half and some players didn’t perform to their best. Dominic Szoboszlai was one of their worst players and had a disappointing outing.

Not only did he miss an easy scoring chance in the first half, but the Hungarian midfielder couldn’t create any goals and lacked his fiery personality in midfield.

Some Liverpool fans have criticized the midfielder’s performance against Wolves, as here are some reactions from X (Twitter).

Laurie: “When we signed Szoboszlai from Leipzig, I thought we were finally getting someone in who could bring goals to our midfield. He doesn’t do that, and I’m not really sure what he does at this stage, if I’m honest.”

Spion Kop: “Not sure why Szoboszlai is annoyed there. Been awful. Needs to improve him.”

Moby: “Honestly for next match or two I would put Alexis as no 10 he is much better there & take Szoboszlai out for a little bit to reflect on how he can be more effective. Put Curtis or Endo as starter for a few matches.”

TaintlessRed: “I’m not sure why Szoboszlai was shaking his head when he was going off. Still needs to improve with his use of the ball and influence when Liverpool have possession.”

ColinBest: “Piss poor today. Apart from missing an absolute sitter,he was ineffective today and gave the ball away too often.Having said that, our defence and midfield were pretty awful today.”

DerMasterLFC: “He has been inconsistent this season. He had a few good performances but he really needs to improve in the final third. Consistency is key.”
