A YOUTHFUL David Beckham is seen giving fans a tour around the modest home he first shared with wife Victoria in an unearthed clip.
In an interview from 1997, a then 22-year-old David proudly showed off his detached home in Hazlehurst Road, Worsley, Salford, which he reportedly purchased directly from the developer for a mere $170,000.

A far cry from their current £56,000,000 property portfolio, the Beckhams’ first home was humble in size and even featured a knee-size hole in the hallway wall caused by a tumble David took
In his early days at Manchester United at the time the footage was captured, David showed off his modest living room – complete with dark curtains, a white leather sofa, a cardboard cut-out of himself and trophies shoved onto a windowsill
After showing off his cooker, David opened up his fridge for cameras, revealing it was stocked with Toffee Crisp bars he had been sent alongside yogurts and strawberries
Becks was just starting to make an impression on the Manchester United first team at the time, so he let Rob McCaffery, a broadcaster on Sky Sports, to peek around his home.
The football player started the tour in his living area, which included dark draperies, cream-colored leather couches, and walls painted with magnolia.
Notably, David showed off a life-size cardboard cutout of himself “that his girlfriend’s [Victoria’s] mum had wanted” sitting on his VHS tapes.
He also flaunted a framed photo of him with the 1996/97 PFA Young Player of the Year that his dad gave him while showing off his plethora of trophies that were sitting on his window sill.
Moving into the kitchen, presenter Rob found a bag of Walkers crisps with David’s future wife on the front.
The sports star, who only began dating Victoria that same year, said: “It’s sometimes embarrassing when you want a big bag of Walkers crisps and you go and get a big bag of Walkers crisps and it’s got your girlfriend on the front.”
He then showed off his fridge which was filled with Muller Corner yogurts, strawberries, Toffee Crisp bars he was sent and a few bottles of champagne.
In addition, the former LA Galaxy star let his fans see inside his “walk-in wardrobe,” which consisted of a few standing racks tucked away in the corner of his master bedroom.
David was invited to choose his favorite shirts by the presenter, who made fun of his “massive” collection of fifteen pairs of sneakers at the time.
The Cribs-style tour took place just before the couple moved into their £2.5 million Hertfordshire home, Beckingham Palace, after selling the four-bedroom house for £190,000, pocketing a £40,000 profit.
While the footage was captured in 1997, it wouldn’t be long before David and Victoria left their modest ways in the past once and for all, with the loved-up couple moving into their 12-acre estate – dubbed Beckingham Palace – in 1999
Victoria, 48, previously spoke to the Manchester Evening News in 2008 about their Worsley home and said they had “such fond memories”.
She said at the time: “When we were last in Manchester for the Spice Girls gig David and I drove back to that house in Hazelhurst Road to have a look.
“There are such fond memories for us – of the Trafford Centre and all that kind of thing.
“I know David misses Manchester as well and still keeps in touch with everyone.”
According to The Daily Star, their first home in Manchester last went up for sale in 2014, with an asking price of between $445,000 and $480,000.
More recently, the couple have called their $36.8million Holland Park mansion home since 2013.
The pair spent an estimated $9.5m on renovation work for the six-bedroom Grade II-listed townhouse in 2016.
While their main residence is in London, David and Victoria split their time between their $7.2million Cotswold bolthole and modern Miami apartment worth $22million.
The couple sold the house for a £40,000 profit and later moved into their £2.5million Hertfordshire mansion
