Lamine Yamal has appeared in three games against Real Madrid in the past. Sadly, Barcelona have lost all three of those games. However, as Lamine Yamal’s talent has blossomed, the expectations for Barcelona to win against Real Madrid have grown.
The 17-year-old talent is also extremely confident ahead of the match against Real Madrid. Speaking to the press, Lamine Yamal firmly declared: “We believe that Barcelona is the best club in the world. The whole team is proving it.
The whole Barcelona team will fight Real Madrid with all our strength. I hope the team will win.”
Lamine Yamal admits his idol is not Messi. The 17-year-old striker said: “My idol when I was young was Neymar. That was my role model. I always watched videos of him playing football and tried to learn from him.
I remember everything about both Messi and Neymar. They are legends of Barcelona and have admirable achievements. I hope one day I can stand shoulder to shoulder with them and contribute to Barcelona.”

Meanwhile, former Barcelona striker Sergio Aguero believes Lamine Yamal is more talented than Vinicius Jr, who is considered a strong candidate to win the 2024 Ballon d’Or. Aguero said: “In terms of talent, Lamine Yamal is much better than Vinicius, although the Brazilian player has more experience and has won more titles with Real Madrid.
At the moment, Vinicius is one of the top three players in the world but I still prefer Lamine Yamal’s talent.”
The El Clasico match between Real Madrid and Barcelona takes place at Bernabeu Stadium at 02:00 on October 27.
