Lisandro Martinez looked absolutely broken down after seeing Man United suffer their 2-1 loss to West Ham United.
Speaking to MUTV after the match, he stated: “I hate to lose. I hate losing and this club is not what we want. The expectations are really high and we want to win every game.
“But now it’s time to accept it and be honest with ourselves. I want the best for this club and I’m pretty sure this club will be in the top and we will give everything to put where it deserves to be.
“I’m so frustrated, honestly, so frustrated because I see every day our skills and quality, and then those days when we finish a game and lose, miss many chances again, it’s difficult to accept but we have to accept it.
“Everyone fights and we give everything but I think we have to give more and we have to know that football is a mental game and we have to keep believing until the end with hunger.
“Today, we played a very good first half, then in the second half we dropped, then yeah, we conceded two goals and we couldn’t win the game and I’m so disappointed, honestly.”
Throughout the Hammers’ loss, Martinez remained vigilant and involved on the backline, and he had a really good game there.
However, the Red Devils have only won one of their last eight games in all competitions as a result of the loss to West Ham, which has put Erik ten Hag under growing pressure.
