BIG IMPRESSION: Ethan Nwaneri’s spectacular 15-minute performance showed his maturity and talent despite playing away from home against Inter Milan

With just 15 minutes on the pitch, Ethan Nwaneri showed his maturity and talent despite having to play away at Inter Milan. Entering the pitch when Arsenal were losing, Ethan Nwaneri did not show any signs of hesitation or fear..He always showed maximum confidence in every ball handling phase, from competing with opposing players to being ready to hold the ball and break through to make a difference, especially in situations handled in a narrow area. Ethan Nwaneri is the youngest player on the pitch, but he is one of the players who showed the most courage for Arsenal.A truly great talent that Arsenal possesses and hopefully, he will continue to be trusted more in the upcoming matches…!

Adam Keys on X: "The minute he came on, he was demanding the ball off Saliba and Zinchenko, taking it on the half turn, running at players and popping it off centrally.

Mikel Arteta’s side were handed defeat in Milan as Hakan Calhanoglu’s first-half penalty sealed victory for the Serie A champions. Arsenal dominated the second half but were faced with a resilient Inter defence who held on to hold on for the win.

Ethan Nwaneri came on in the second half of Arsenal’s 1-0 defeat to Inter.

Ethan Nwaneri came on for Arsenal with just eight minutes left and made some impressive plays for the Gunners, but could not help the visitors equalise. Arsenal play Chelsea in the Premier League on Sunday and Rio Ferdinand has called on Arteta to give Nwaneri more playing time. He said:

“ They will be hugely disappointed. 46 crosses in this game, the second most in the Champions League this season, especially in the second half, they got into some good areas around the box but again the creativity, the imagination, the vision, the trickery around the box was not there. That has been said too often this season.

Ethan Nwaneri came on today and showed flashes. He had a few good dribbles. He deserves more playing time.”

Meanwhile, former Arsenal defender Martin Keown also believes Nwaneri should have been brought on earlier by Arteta. He said: “ I think things have improved since Nwaneri came on. And I think when you see the quality he brings, he should have come on a little bit earlier.”
