On the morning of November 15, the matches of the 11th round of the 2026 World Cup qualifiers in South America took place. The Brazilian team visited Venezuela in a much “easier” position after 2 wins in October.

Coach Dorival and his team soon showed their superiority with a squad of excellent players on the attack. Vinicius almost opened the score in the 9th minute but the ball flew over the crossbar. In the 22nd minute, the Real Madrid striker continued to cause trouble with a shot that hit the crossbar. After many efforts, Brazil finally got a goal in the 43rd minute. The scorer was Raphinha with a superb free kick.
However, Brazil could not maintain the advantage for long. Early in the second half, Savarino assisted Segovia to score accurately, equalizing for Venezuela. In the 60th minute, the Brazilian players were awarded a penalty, but unfortunately Vinicius missed the shot.
Towards the end of the match, Brazil had an extra man advantage when the home team’s Alexander Gonzalez received a red card but the Selecao could not take advantage to win. In the end, Brazil was held to a 1-1 draw by Venezuela.
In the following match, Argentina and Paraguay started very quickly and created excitement for the audience. In the 11th minute, Lautaro Martinez got down to control Enzo Fernandez’s pass and shot diagonally into the Paraguayan net. The referee initially determined that Lautaro was offside but then recognized the goal after consulting VAR.
However, just 8 minutes later, Paraguay equalized. Paraguay recovered the ball after a chaotic situation in the Argentina penalty area and Gustavo Velazquez crossed for Sanabria to jump and hook the ball past Emiliano Martinez.

After that, the match was very tense with many fierce tackles but no more goals were scored. The first 45 minutes ended with a score of 1-1.
Right at the beginning of the second half, Paraguay scored a goal to increase the score to 2-1. From Gómez’s free kick, Alderete jumped high to head the ball into the Argentine net, leaving goalkeeper Martinez helpless.
After conceding the goal, Argentina’s players rushed forward to attack with the goal of equalizing. However, the defending champion team encountered fierce resistance from the host Paraguay. Messi was constantly the target of “destroying” moves. Therefore, Argentina was almost powerless in the attack phase. The match ended with Messi and his teammates losing 1-2.
