A 6ft 5in wonderkid has been promoted by RUBEN AMORIM to work with Manchester United’s first team.

The new boss of the Red Devils led the team’s first practice since taking over from Erik ten Hag.

He is getting his 39-year-old team ready for his first game as manager, which is this Sunday away at Ipswich Town.

But because they had to play for their countries, he could only use ten first-team players.

Amad Diallo also took part, even though he missed Ivory Coast’s loss to Zambia on Friday. Kobbie Mainoo is still getting fit.

Luke Shaw and Lenny Yoro, both defenders who want to get in better shape, joined the lesson.

This meant that the boss asked the school to add more to the meeting.

One player who got a chance from the Portuguese teacher was Godwill Kukonki, who is 16 years old.

The defender is highly regarded at the club because he did so well this season with the under-18s.

People think he has the “technical and physical qualities” to be a star in high school football.

Because Kukonki is good with his left foot, he has been compared to Josko Gvardiol, a star player for Manchester City.

Casemiro, Mason Mount, and Marcus Rashford were some of the other first-team stars who took part.

Rashford took advantage of the time off from team duty by going to New York to watch NBA games.

Also on the green was Tyrell Malacia, who was continuing to get fit.

Since the last game of the 2022–23 season, the defender hasn’t played for the team.

Manchester United has said that Amorim will see the whole team for the first time later this week.

It will be this time when they all get back from duty abroad.

Victor Lindelof, on the other hand, will be a question mark because he got hurt for Sweden.
