The Swoosh took over Paris this weekend for a special launch event with Jadon Sancho of England and Man Utd to show off their new type of Mercurial shoes.
To commemorate the release of the “New Lights” and “Under The Radar” colorways of the Mercurial Superfly 7 and Vapor 13, Nike threw another massive party in Paris. The Women’s World Cup Final in Lyon, further south, on Sunday will mark the debut of these boots. To usher in a new era of Nike speed, fast players for the USA and Holland will be donning the blue “New Lights” drop. Prior to that, however, the Swoosh pulled off a mercurial hit set in Paris.
There was fast-paced football on a blue field, international players from both men’s and women’s sports, and the Mercurial being carried by drone amid a stunning backdrop in Paris’s Nanterre area. It was the ideal way to conclude one season and begin the next. Jadon Sancho, Caroline Graham of Norway, and Andressa Alves of Brazil competed on the field before Nike designers discussed how the new Mercurial project would operate.
