‘You was a good dude’ – Man Utd fans completely turn on Lisandro Martinez after damaging home defeat to Nottingham Forest

Manchester United fans have turned on ONE player following their crushing home defeat to Nottingham Forest.

Man United were condemned to their sixth Premier League defeat of the season as Ruben Amorim’s side succumbed to Nuno Espirito Santo’s Forest on Saturday, losing 3-2.

The visitors took an early lead through Nikola Milenkovic, who headed home from a corner kick.

But the Red Devils levelled proceedings through Rasmus Hojlund.

In the second-half, the hosts imploded, conceding two goals in the space of seven minutes.

Morgan Gibbs-White put Forest back in the lead before Chris Wood’s looping header found the back of the net to make it 3-1.

Bruno Fernandes reduced the deficit with a strike just after the hour mark.

Man United fans on social media made their feelings clear as they slammed Lisandro Martinez’s performance following the part he played in two of Forest’s goals.

The Argentine defender failed to keep out Milenkovic from the set-piece and bizarrely allowed the ball to go past him after Wood’s header sailed over Andre Onana.

One X user wrote: “Martinez has to go. He’s so poor.”

A second tweeted: “Can’t believe Lisandro Martinez used to get compared to the likes of VVD and Saliba.”

A third added: “I now see the inadequacy of Lisandro Martinez in corners.”

A fourth said: “Yeh Lisandro Martinez, you was a good dude. it’s time to go.”

Another commented: “Lisandro Martinez proving again why he is the worst defender when it comes to aerial coverage.”

Martinez was signed by Erik ten Hag for £57 million.

He has made 77 appearances in all competitions since joining the Old Trafford club in the summer of 2022.

However, his recent performances have left much to be desired, with Manchester United fans lamenting his latest appearance for the club.

Man United are in 13th place in the rankings and will continue their league campaign next Sunday against cross-town rivals Manchester City.
