PRODIGY AND CLASS: Bundesliga giants a key admirer of Real Madrid playmaker

With the January transfer window approaching, Real Madrid’s young talent Arda Güler has become a hot topic, as speculation surrounds his future.

Despite his rising reputation, the Turkish international has struggled for regular game time, sparking interest from several European clubs ahead of the winter window. Among those reportedly keen on the 18-year-old is his former club, Fenerbahce, who have been linked with a potential reunion.

Recent reports from Patrick Berger suggest Bayer Leverkusen has also entered the race for Güler. The Bundesliga side is said to admire the Real Madrid prospect, having shown interest in him even during his stint at Fenerbahce.

Leverkusen’s interest adds another layer of intrigue to Güler’s situation, as the talented midfielder may seek more playing opportunities to further his development. With multiple clubs vying for his signature, January could bring a pivotal decision for the promising starlet.

Berger does confirm that Real Madrid have no desire to sanction the exit of Guler in the January transfer window as Ancelotti has complete faith in the player.

However, a move could potentially open up next season, especially if the player pushes for more game-time in the first-team.

Leverkusen, in that instance, could make a move for Guler. The Bundesliga champions are already preparing for the exit of Real Madrid target Florian Wirtz, and the Turk, to that end, could be an ideal replacement.

Leverkusen have contacted Guler’s family and agent, but there have been no contacts with Real Madrid as of yet.

It must be noted that a certain Real Madrid star in Dani Carvajal, had a short spell at Leverkusen, before going on to enjoy a world class career at the Bernabeu.

Whether or not Guler follows the same path next season, remains to be seen.
