CAPTAIN’S VOICE: Liverpool ‘considering £50m swap deal’ as Wataru Endo handed transfer rights

Liverpool are reportedly eyeing Bournemouth striker Antoine Semenyo as the January transfer window heats up. The 25-year-old has attracted significant interest with his performances for the Cherries this season, putting him on the radar of several Premier League clubs, including Newcastle United.

According to the Daily Star, Bournemouth’s interest in Liverpool winger Ben Doak, currently on loan at Middlesbrough, could potentially pave the way for a swap deal involving the two players.

The 19-year-old Doak has impressed at the Riverside Stadium and garnered attention for his standout displays, making him a promising candidate to sweeten negotiations for Semenyo.

Liverpool have already rejected bids from Crystal Palace and Ipswich Town for his services. Semenyo on the other hand, is thought to be valued at an estimated £50million which could put clubs off until the summer.

Elsewhere, midfielder Wataru Endo appears to be a man in demand this month. Caught Offside claim Fulham are ‘weighing up’ a move for the 31-year-old while Wolves, Ipswich Town, AC Milan and Celtic are ‘monitoring’ his situation.

The Japan international has had limited opportunities under Arne Slot – playing just 56 minutes in the Premier League so far this season. It’s said that a fee in the region of £10-12m could be enough to convince the Anfield hierarchy to part ways with him.

Speaking about the lack of game time after Liverpool’s FA Cup win over Accrington Stanley on Saturday, Endo said: “I don’t get frustrated or anything like that, I always try to get ready to help the team. Of course I want to play every game but we need everyone in the squad.

“The players who don’t play constantly have played very well (against Accrington) so that is the most important thing for the team to achieve something. We need everybody so we need to get ready for every game that’s coming.”
