The Colombian footballer who has become a key figure in the English Premier League, playing for Liverpool, is celebrating his birthday today.
Luis Díaz, the Colombian star, is marking his 28th birthday this Monday. During the celebration, his wife, Gera Ponce, took the opportunity to surprise him with an emotional tribute that resonated with his fans.
On her official Instagram account, the mother of their two daughters shared a heartfelt message along with several photos capturing their best moments together. She wrote, “Today I celebrate the life of the most wonderful man I know, my love, my partner, and the best father, husband, son, and friend. There are not enough words to express how lucky I am to be with you and how happy you make me every day. You are an extraordinary human being, with such a noble heart, and I only hope nothing or no one ever damages it.”\
She continued, “I thank God for giving you another trip around the sun, for allowing me to walk by your side and witness the incredible person you are. I wish for all your dreams to come true and for life to fill you with blessings because you deserve everything and more. I hope to celebrate all your birthdays by your side, always loving you with my soul. Happy birthday, my love.”
Additionally, ‘Lucho’ Díaz’s father also took to social media to congratulate him. “Happy birthday, my king. May God bless you always,” he said, sharing two photographs—one of the player as a child and another from the present day, both showcasing his love for football.
His teammates also joined in the celebrations, with captain Virgil van Dijk being the first to inform the squad about Díaz’s birthday.
