According to a recent report, Manchester United has started negotiations with Sporting CP to capture Viktor Gyokeres for the upcoming summer.
What took place? Florian Plettenberg claims that United has started negotiations with Sporting to sign Gyokeres. Under now-United manager Ruben Amorim, the 26-year-old has been in incredible form with the Portuguese team this season, scoring 24 goals in 21 games.
The report claims that United would have to raise money in order to sign Gyokeres, and Manchester City would be their rival.
Gyokeres scored three goals in Pep Guardiola’s team’s Champions League loss against Sporting earlier this season, which ended in a 4-1 loss.
