Lisandro Martinez and Adama Traore reignited their ongoing rivalry during Manchester United’s narrow 1-0 win over Fulham on Sunday evening.

Their feud dates back to the season opener when Martinez quipped that he had sent the powerful winger “to the gym” after a physical duel at Old Trafford.

In Sunday’s match, Martinez again had his moment, successfully holding off Traore—known for being one of the Premier League’s fastest and strongest players—in a key moment of the game.

After the final whistle, Martinez referenced their rivalry in a post-match interview with Sky Sports’ Jamie Carragher, confidently stating, “I sent him [Traore] to the gym.”

Traore responded later on Instagram with a cheeky six-word message directed at the Argentine: “Don’t worry, we will meet again @lisandromartinezzz,” accompanied by a winking-face emoji.

And they did meet again on Sunday with many believing Martinez was lucky not to be sent off.

The United defender went in on the Fulham man with his studs up but escaped without a booking.

The two plays then came together with Martinez having a pop at Traore before the forward pushed him away.

And it was Martinez who would have the last laugh das his 78th minute deflected strike sealed the three points for the Red Devils.
