Amorim, 40, had joked that he felt closer to 50, having been in post at Old Trafford for two months.

He has been married to the interior designer since 2013, when they tied the knot at the Palácio de S. Marcos church in Coimbra.

The couple were snapped out together as the Portuguese coach celebrated his birthday.

They headed out for a celebratory lunch in Wilmslow, Cheshire.

The venue is a regular hotspot for famous faces with Cristiano Ronaldo claimed to be a regular.

Wantaway Manchester United forward Marcus Rashford was spotted at the restaurant in December.

Amorim could be seen wearing a black puffer jacket and matching trousers.

Maria wore a warm, fluffy jacket paired with tights and a skirt.

Maria and Ruben are blessed with two children.

The Man Utd boss could afford to celebrate after his out of form side ground out a 1-0 victory away at Fulham in the Premier League on Sunday night.

Lisandro Martinez’s goal was enough to give the struggling Man United the win.

The three points has lifted Amorim’s side to 12th place in the league table, just above Crystal Palace and West Ham.

Meanwhile, Amorim has put Man United striker Rasmus Hojlund on trial until the end of the season.

The manager is not convinced of the former Atalanta man, and if he does not impress in the remainder of the campaign, he could be sold in the summer.
