Nicky Butt has been seen in public for the first time since a police probe was initiated into an alleged head-butt at his 50th birthday celebration.
Three days after his 50th birthday on January 21, the Manchester United star hosted a luncheon at Soho Farmhouse, which is close to Great Tew in Oxfordshire.
The Beckhams attended the supper along with Paul Scholes, Gary Neville, and their spouses, all of whom departed soon after the alleged incident.
According to reports, police are questioning witnesses and reviewing CCTV footage from the incident, which shows a security guard being head-butted and leaving with what appears to be a broken nose.
Now, twelve days after the alleged incident, Butt and Roy Keane, another former United teammate, have been seen walking about Cheshire.
Butt was dressed in a jacket, body warmer, and navy blue sweater. He was also sporting white sneakers and dark blue pants.
Keane wore light blue pants with a green blazer and baseball cap.
Butt and Keane, a well-known personality on the Stick to Football podcast, seemed at ease as they spoke among themselves before parting ways.
The police investigation into the specifics of what transpired at Soho Farmhouse is reportedly still ongoing.
The incident reportedly occurred between 7 and 8 p.m. when a man exited to go to a bar outside and was approached by the security officer after he was observed peeing on a wall. The Sun claims that a group of 30 people walked from a private room to a bar area at the Farmhouse.
Two hours later, at 9:15 p.m., police were notified that the man had allegedly snapped and head-butted the guard.
It is alleged that the guard took time off work to recuperate after being admitted to the hospital for treatment.
He reportedly made a statement to the police.
Neville and Butt were reportedly driven back to Manchester, while the Beckhams reportedly returned home shortly after the incident. The couple reportedly owns a £12 million estate nearby.
Not a single one of the celebrity mentioned has been implicated.
Later, a police spokesperson verified: “On January 24, at approximately 9:15 p.m., Thames Valley Police received a report of an assault at a Great Tew business location.”
A man is accused of assaulting a security guard.
Thames Valley Police is carrying out a comprehensive investigation, which includes interviewing witnesses, acquiring and examining any CCTV footage, and getting a statement from the victim and offering support.
“At this time, no arrests have been made.”
