Days after celebrating his 40th birthday, Cristiano Ronaldo was seen participating in a new sport.
The Al-Nassr forward has spent the entire week celebrating his birthday, throwing a party with “family and friends” to mark the milestone.
At his Saudi Arabian home, he first celebrated his historic birthday in a unique way – wearing a pair of £4,000 compression boots.
After scoring in the Saudi team’s 3-0 victory over Al-Fayha, Ronaldo returned to the field and the goals a few days later.
But now that the birthday celebrations have subsided, the seasoned attacker found time to take part in a new activity and supported a Portuguese team during their match.
Ronaldo was seen in the audience at the Premier Padel competition in Riyadh, where he was competing alongside his brother Miguel and Nuno Deus.
After defeating Ivan Ramirez and Denis Perino 6-3, 6-2, the pair was able to guarantee their spot in the competition’s main event.
As Ronaldo appeared absorbed in the exciting padel action that was taking place, pictures of the superstar observing from the stands swiftly went viral.
Ronaldo has already shown off his remarkable padel talents in 2023, so this isn’t his first attempt at the sport.
He indulged in a padel session during a post-season trip to Singapore, which revealed his court prowess.
He played a friendly game of Padel, a racquet sport that is comparable to squash and tennis, after addressing the youngsters in the countryside.
He wrote to his 588 million Instagram followers: “Thanks for the rally, @primepadelsport! I’ll be in Asia soon!”‘, with around 3.5 million people having already liked the article.
Local children joyously applauded Ronaldo’s every shot in the video, which showed the veteran looking at ease and content with a racquet in his hand.
Meanwhile, videos of Ronaldo and Georgina Rodriguez dancing intimately were shared on social media at his lavish birthday celebration.
David de Gea, Ronaldo’s former teammate and former Manchester United goalkeeper, was one among those who commented on the post. He humorously used the grandfather emoji in his response.
Hours earlier, Ronaldo celebrated his birthday in Al-Nassr, where his teammates, notably new January acquisition Jhon Duran, who cost £65 million, gave the Portuguese icon a gorgeous handmade cake.
In a video that Al-Nassr shared on X, the forward was greeted by his teammates upon his arrival to the team’s training facility, and they started singing for him.
