According to SPORT, Manchester United made a £58 million offer to capture Barcelona’s Fermin Lopez, a graduate of La Masia.

The Spanish international is the type of player who would fit in well with Amorim’s front three and has been playing well in 2025.

The type of midfielder that often emerges via La Masia at Barcelona is not Fermin Lopez. The Spanish player is a natural goal scorer, but that doesn’t mean he lacks technical skill with the ball.

Due to an injury that hampered his development, the 21-year-old midfielder struggled early in the season and was unable to fit in with Flick’s squad. However, Fermin hasn’t turned back since the start of 2025.

Fermin Lopez’s sole goal, though, is to succeed at Barcelona. He has chosen to turn down offers from Premier League teams there and isn’t even considering them.
