Darwin Núñez, the Liverpool forward from England, participated in the Uruguayan team’s training sessions in Montevideo for the Copa América, scheduled to take place in the United States this June. He also attended a basketball game between Peñarol and Defensor Sporting.

The match, part of the semifinals of the Uruguayan Basketball League, occurred at the Antel Arena, where fans of Carbonero cheered for the football star as he arrived and settled into the front row.

Darwin Núñez witnessed Peñarol’s qualification.

Núñez, a professional athlete with the Aurinegros, watched Peñarol secure a 103-66 victory over Defensor Sporting and a 3-2 win in the semifinal series of the Uruguayan Basketball League, which is set to begin on Friday against Aguada.

The champion of the first division basketball season will be determined in a best-of-seven series.
