On Christmas Day, Jude Bellingham was spotted in the stands at MKM Stadium in Hull City, where he was watching his younger brother Jobe play for Sunderland in the Championship.
Since spending £113 million to join Real Madrid in the summer, the England player has excelled. He witnessed Jobe and Sunderland’s 3-0 loss against Coventry on Saturday.
Earlier in the month, Sunderland defeated Leeds and West Brom in two significant victories. They have since suffered heartbreaking defeats to Coventry and Bristol City.
Jude spoke to spectators outside the MKM Stadium on Christmas Day before heading there to watch his brother play.
Before the game, he was spotted laughing and posing for photos with Sunderland and Hull supporters. Jobe made the starting lineup.
Jude soon found himself watching his 18-year-old brother play from the stands. He had on a red and white cap and a gray coat.
After joining Sunderland this summer from Birmingham City, Jobe enjoyed an excellent debut season. He has scored four goals and assisted on one in all but one of their Championship games.
To allow Sunderland to manage the young player’s playing time over the hectic holiday season, Jobe started the game against Bristol City on the bench but returned to the starting lineup for the loss to Coventry. Last week, Jude helped Real Madrid defeat Deportivo Alaves in an exciting match, which kept the Spanish powerhouses tied for first place in La Liga with Girona.
According to a Mail Sport report this week, the boys’ parents, Mark and Denise, have been dividing their time between supporting their two stars in different nations.
