Wayne Robinson left Plymouth Argyle in December to begin a new career in Dubai.
Along with other previous professionals, the Manchester United player is enjoying the sunshine during the February half-term holiday.
He has joined Football Escapes as a coach, teaching young children at the Jumeirah Beach Hotel in Dubai.
Children can train under the guidance of former players like Rooney, Michael Owen, and Mark Noble as part of Football Escapes’ family vacation package at the hotel.
On the first day, Rooney, sporting a Football Escapes shirt, led a group through their paces while contented parents observed and recorded.
Packages for a five-day stay at the five-star hotel range in price from £7,500 to £8,650.
The hotel has five swimming pools, including a 25-meter pool, a gym, and several pitches.
In addition, there is a spa with ten opulent treatment rooms, a private beach, and a waterpark on the property.
After departing Plymouth on New Year’s Day, Rooney is participating for the first time as a coach with Football Escapes.
He stated that it would “have to be the right club” for him to return to management.
He hasn’t found a new full-time position yet, but last week he resumed his TV punditry duties with Prime Video.
Rooney made his first appearance for the network when he covered Manchester City’s Champions League loss to Real Madrid.
