Mohamed Salah has been spotted in Mykonos as the Liverpool star enjoys his final days off before returning to pre-season training. Liverpool officially kicked off their pre-season under new head coach Arne Slot last Friday, with the first players reporting back to the AXA Training Centre.
Salah, having participated in Egypt’s World Cup qualifiers last month, was granted extra time off by the club and is expected to return soon. However, he has made the most of his remaining days of relaxation.
A fan captured Salah walking through the streets of Mykonos, where the 32-year-old has become a regular visitor in recent years. Olympiakos defender Rodinei also shared a photo with Salah from a beach club, captioning it, “For this one you didn’t expect, me and Mo Salah random roll.”
This marks the third consecutive year that Salah has spent part of his summer break in Mykonos. During his visit in 2022, he addressed uncertainties about his future, ultimately signing a staggering £400,000-a-week deal that extended his contract until 2025.
Salah’s latest trip comes after a demanding season, where he played 44 matches for Liverpool and participated in 10 international games, including the African Cup of Nations, where he faced a hamstring injury.
As he prepares to return to Liverpool, a significant decision regarding his future will be made during his meeting with Arne Slot, the new Reds manager. With just one year left on his contract, Salah has been a target for Saudi Arabian teams seeking a big-money transfer.
