Real Madrid, one of the biggest teams in La Liga, suffered a potentially expensive personnel setback this evening.
Following what seemed to be a knee injury, Dani Ceballos was forced to leave Los Blancos’ Copa del Rey match against Real Sociedad.
On Wednesday, Real Madrid traveled to Anoeta for a cup semi-final first-leg match, and Ceballos was involved from the start once again.
When it was all said and done, a single goal from Endrick put Carlo Ancelotti’s guests on the winning side.
However, Ceballos, a teammate, was unable to complete the match.
The former Arsenal player tumbled to the ground in obvious distress as soon as he collided with Takefusa Kubo in San Sebastian during injury time.
After receiving care from the Real Madrid medical staff, Ceballos limped away, clearly upset.
It is unclear whether this will lead to the in-form midfielder spending an upcoming stint on the sidelines.
