The former Arsenal star has been training under the guidance of personal trainer Alper Aksac.
Mesut Özil maintained a slender physique throughout his playing career. He has regularly visited the gym since retiring. Some fans believe he should return to playing.
While he showcased a six-pack during his playing days, Özil was often quite scrawny, and one of his biggest weaknesses was his physicality.
Since retiring earlier this year, the former Germany international has consistently hit the gym—and he has bulked up as a result.
Özil’s trainer has shared multiple clips of him hard at work, with the 35-year-old performing a variety of exercises from push-ups to bicep curls. The former midfielder flexed his biceps on a cable machine and lifted dumbbells to enhance his muscles.
In another Instagram post, Özil displayed his six-pack while smiling at the camera. Fans were thrilled with his transformation and suggested he should come out of retirement.
One said: “Bro needs to come out of retirement and play for three or four more years.” Another remarked: “Özil start playing football again!”

And another commented: “M10 getting swole!!! Unite!”
He retired earlier this year following a stint at Istanbul Basaksehir.
