Mikel Arteta goes to the beach with his family in Mallorca, spending quality times with them

This summer, Mikel Arteta and his family have been enjoying their final days of vacation on the shores of Mallorca.

In the coming days, the Manchester City coach will return to preseason training at the club. However, he took some time to relax in the sun with his wife, Lorena Bernal, and their three children. The couple was spotted laughing together in the water on the Balearic Island during an unusually warm day.

Arteta is set to rejoin Pep Guardiola’s coaching staff after nearly accepting the managerial position at Arsenal. Sincere discussions took place between the 36-year-old Spaniard and the club’s leadership, who were impressed with his vision for the organization as Arsène Wenger’s potential successor.

Speculation suggests that Arteta hesitated to accept the position due to concerns over transfer-related decisions, while Unai Emery, the newly appointed Arsenal manager, did not share those reservations.

Fortunately, the offer of a two-year extension to stay at the Etihad Stadium quickly eased Arteta’s disappointment. Guardiola and Arsenal chairman Khaldoon Al-Mubarak reached out to him as soon as it was announced that the club had decided to hire Emery instead.

Arteta’s coaching tenure has been largely successful, helping City secure the Premier League title and the League Cup in his most recent campaign.
