Pepsi’s newest global ambassador is Vinicius Jr., a well-known footballer for Real Madrid and Brazil. He does this in an effort to follow in the footsteps of Ronaldinho, a fellow Brazilian and inspiration. The series was made in partnership with Art of Football and honors the brand’s football ads from the early 2000s.
Pepsi and football have a long and emotional history together, thanks to more than 20 years of iconic football commercials. International football players, including Beckham, Henry, Totti, Roberto Carlos, and of course Ronaldinho, will sprint through historic battlefields, rail stations, and other places. Despite including a lot of well-known celebrities and talented people, the brand’s most recent TV ad, “Nutmeg Royale,” pays homage to some of its most memorable early advertising.

The year before the Golden Cabane collection, which included retro-inspired pieces in honor of Pepsi’s famous football competition that has been going on for 20 years, the Pepsi x [AoF] collection made its debut. Accessories from the collection that showcase two or more brands include bucket hats, shoulder bags, and tote bags. The suit is finished with a reproduction of Pepsi’s football shirts from the early 2000s.
In the deliciously humorous “Nutmeg Royale” commercial, which features the famous Ronaldinho playing again, those with sharp eyes may have seen the new uniform. Vincius Jr., one of the most intriguing football players in the world, will become the newest global brand ambassador for Pepsi. He will work alongside Lionel Messi, another Argentinean.
