A new sports complex has been named after the school where Real Madrid striker Vinicius Junior first gained notoriety.

The 22-year-old returned to his old school, Odete Sao Paio, in his hometown of Sao Goncalo, Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.

The new Los Blancos No. 7 stole the show during the opening of the Vinicius Sports Centre, which is named after him, permanently changing his relationship with his community.

Marca states that Vinicius asked for a pick-up game between current and former pupils of the school.

The game was streamed live on the school’s official social media sites.
