Today marks Patrick Dorgu’s return to his three-match suspension, which means Ruben Amorim will have even less left-sided alternatives available for the Premier League game against Arsenal at home.
The injury situation is not going away. Harry Maguire and Manu Ugarte are highly doubtful, and Altay Bayindir, Jonny Evans, Lisandro Martinez, Luke Shaw, Kobbie Mainoo, Mason Mount, and Amad are all unquestionably out due to injuries.
Ugarte has a higher chance of being fit, but even if he is, he might not be risked because of Thursday’s crucial Europa League second leg against Real Sociedad.
Anticipated lineup:
Bruno Fernandes will likely be partnered in midfield by either Casemiro or Toby Collyer. We believe that Collyer might be the best choice because he played a few minutes on Thursday after recovering from an injury and his vitality would be greatly needed against the Gunners.
Andre Onana will most likely be in goal for defense.
If Maguire is unable to play, either Victor Lindelof or Ayden Heaven will join Matthijs de Ligt and Leny Yoro in the back three. This is because Noussair Mazraoui will likely play wing back in Dorgu’s absence. We believe Lindelof will most likely be the one.
The other wing back will be Diogo Dalot.
There aren’t many choices up front, but if Amorim decides to rest Rasmus Hojlund, Chido Obi might start. Hojlund is more likely to play at least forty-five minutes, in our opinion.
He will likely have the backing of Alejandro Garnacho and Josh Zirkzee, although Christian Eriksen is an alternative.
