Aaron Wan-Bissaka visited his former elementary school this week, surprising the students at a school function. The kids were thrilled by his appearance.
Ben Shires, a children’s television personality, spent today afternoon with the students at Good Shepherd Catholic Primary School in New Addington. There was a sense of excitement in the air as he prepared to see Aaron Wan-Bissaka, one of his former students. The Crystal Palace right-back was thrilled to return to his old school and inspire the current students.
As he left, the crowd cheered his name, and he participated in a Q&A session that Shires set up to test the children’s football knowledge. Three fortunate students were summoned to the platform.
As a farewell gift to the students, he presented the school with a shirt he had worn in a game and had signed.
“It felt good,” said Kanye West. I haven’t gone there in a while. It’s wonderful to be returning because I have many pleasant memories here.
“I wasn’t ready because I had never experienced a welcome like this before, but it felt great!” he stated. “The children’s response since I was here ten years ago is amazing.”
Many of the professors knew him, as he had gone to the institution ten years earlier. “I was his TA in sixth grade,” remembers Elaine Snow, who was his coworker at the time. He was a wonderful child, even though our class was wild. He was an avid football fan even back then, just like the other boys!
The kids will always cherish the amazing time they had together. Aaron was happy to return to New Addington, his hometown. The autographed jersey will always be preserved in a frame.
