With a chance to sign him permanently at the end of the current campaign, Villa has given the 27-year-old a fresh lease on life.

Rashford scored two goals, including a penalty, as Villa defeated Preston 3-0 on Sunday to go to the FA Cup semifinals.

Rashford has returned to the England squad after making an impression at the club level, and Thomas Tuchel called him up for the most recent internationals.

Now that he is playing away from Old Trafford, Rashford seems to be playing with a lot of confidence.

Rashford said that since joining Villa, he feels more fit and that he is having fun playing football.

“It’s a great feeling, I feel like I’ve been getting fitter and playing better football since I’ve been here,” Rashford stated in an interview with BBC Sport. Obviously, it’s good for a forward to score, so hopefully it keeps up.

“I believe we should just focus on one game at a time, give it our all on the field, and see where it takes us.” We’re a really driven team that wants to win, attempt to go as far as possible in every competition, and work hard to return to the top four.

“Step by step.” I believe I can still improve my fitness. I didn’t play football much until I joined them. Right now, everything is going well since my body feels fine, I have no injuries, and I enjoy playing football.

Micah Richards believes Rashford would be a far better match for Villa than for United, where he didn’t fit into Amorim’s lineup.

Rashford’s dedication to training was a source of worry for Amorim, but the attacker appears to be thriving under Emery.

“The difference is that Emery has a plan and a structure,” Richards stated. It was challenging under Ten Hag, and Amorim, the current manager, has had trouble expressing his exact desires.

Where will he play if you decide to use a different formation? Will he play as a wing-back or in one of the front three positions? He doesn’t really fit in with it.

“He’s just contributing his skill, pace, and know-how to that team in an environment where everyone knows their jobs.”

When Rashford is playing at his best, he can start for any team in the world, according to former Villa forward Dion Dublin, who was full of praise for the player.

According to Dublin, Marcus can start for any side in the world of football if he is playing well and receiving the support he needs. He’s that talented.

Like Richards, Joe Hart said Rashford is enjoying playing for Emery.

He’s come here with individuals who know what they’re doing, Hart added. He hasn’t arrived with any reservations about his behavior, actions, or plans to transform the team.

“Where is he going to play?” was a common question while he was at Manchester United near the conclusion of his career. How will he perform? What will the management do? Since Unai Emery has made a name for himself, no one questions him.

Rashford had played 426 games and scored 138 goals for United during his entire career before joining Villa.

Rashford may leave Old Trafford permanently this summer, even though his contract expires in 2028.
