NBA players Luka Doncic, Goran Dragic, Nikola Jokic, Boban Marjanovic, Nikola Vucevic and Jusuf Nurkic hang out with each other in the bubble

Goran Dragic has posted a great picture hanging out with a group of players that could take on anybody in the league. The Miami Heat point guard has taken advantage of the bubble to hang out with his European peers, especially the Balkan ones.

On Thursday afternoon, Dragic shared a picture where he appeared having dinner with Nikola Jokic and Vlatko Cancar of the Denver Nuggets, Luka Doncic and Boban Marjanovic of the Dallas Mavericks and Nikola Vucevic of the Orlando Magic. It looked like a Balkan party and every player looked very happy in the picture.

According to Kyle Goon, this isn’t the first time these guys hang out in the bubble.

“A light-hearted note from the bubble: For the last day, we’ve noticed that the Euro bigs have been hanging out together and socializing, singing loudly late last night. Nurkic, Jokic, Zubac, BOBAN, Doncic. My friends, it’s the Bloc Party.”

Some members of the groups were missing on the picture, Trail Blazers’ Nurkic and Clippers’ Zubac. The Balkan Boys are composed of Nikola Jokic from Sombor, Serbia. Boban Marjanovic from Municipality of Boljevac, Serbia. Jusuf Nurkic is from Tuzla, Bosnia and Herzegovina. Ivica Zubac is from Mostar, Bosnia and Herzegovina. Luka Doncic and Goran Dragic are from Ljubljana, Slovenia. Vlatko Cancar is from Koper, Slovenia. Luka’s dad is a Serb, and Vucevic is from Montenegro.

Serbia-Montenegro-Croatia-Bosnia have really really similar languages (for example, the difference is like two people speaking English in America, one from the south and someone from New York). All these countries were part of extinct Yugoslavia.

They all are taking advantage of this bubble and you can see they’re having a blast hanging out in Orlando. Another proof that basketball brings people together instead of dividing.

Jokic, Cancar, Vucevic, Doncic, Boban and Nurkic are on the brink of elimination with their respective teams. On the other hand, Dragic advanced to the second round of the playoffs after sweeping the Indiana Pacers, while Zubac is on the verge of eliminating the Mavericks.
