Real Madrid are eyeing a shock move for Diogo Dalot

The LaLiga side have approached Liverpool over Trent-Alexander Arnold

Regarding Trent-Alexander Arnold, the La Liga team has contacted Liverpool.

However, with Alexander-Arnold being a native and Liverpool dominating the Premier League, Madrid may give up on trying to entice him away from a new Anfield contract.

Dalot has allegedly been considered by Carlo Ancelotti’s team as a replacement for the England right-back.

According to the Spanish publication Relevo, Madrid values Dalot at about £41 million.

And United were even approached by the 15-time Champions League winners about Dalot while Erik ten Hag was still in charge.

The 25-year-old has played 178 games for the Red Devils and was voted the player of the year by his team-mates last season.

Dalot’s importance grew during United’s dismal 2023-24 campaign, as he started 35 of 38 Prem games and scored twice.

Dalot is probably going to be included in the list of players that new manager Ruben Amorim wants to work with going forward.

However, the Portugal international signed a new contract with United in May 2023, leaving him with four years left on his current one.

Alexander-Arnold might be acquired by Madrid for nothing in the meantime.

The Merseyside star is currently in the final six months of his contract after rising through Liverpool’s junior systems.

However, Arne Slot will try to convince him to accept a new contract at Anfield, and if the team keeps up its current upward trajectory, it will be hard to refuse.

A move to Real Madrid has long been rumored for Alexander-Arnold, a right-back who has an incredible 84 assists and 23 goals in 326 games for Liverpool.

Due to an ACL injury, Los Blancos are now without their normal right back, six-time Champions League winner Dani Carvajal.
