‘I just see one guy who is good in the box’ – Amorim insists he will continue to play Harry Maguire as a striker as Man Utd aim for their only title hope this season!

In order to keep Manchester United on track to win a £100 million prize, Harry Maguire is content to continue playing as a substitute striker.

With a spectacular goal in the 121st minute against Lyon to guarantee a Europa League semi-final, the England center-back did his part to “Make Amorim Great Again.”

If United won that tournament, they would receive a big ticket to the Champions League the next season.

However, with Rasmus Hojlund scoring just one goal in 27 appearances and Joshua Zirkzee crocked, manager Ruben Amorim is facing a striker dilemma.

“You can see that we’re probably short on attackers,” stated Maguire, who has scored four important goals this season.

Alejandro Garnacho and Rasmus, our two strikers, gave it their all on the field.

“I’m willing to go up there if he asks me to because we lost Josh.”

“When the balls and crosses are coming in, I feel like I can cause trouble and score a goal up there, so I do see myself as a threat.”

“Playing up there is much harder than playing center back, and I only get 30 minutes.”

Amorim has been impressed by Maguire’s influence, but he does not intend to deploy him as a forward right away.

The manager of United has witnessed enough practice and games to know that the £80 million player can be a valuable offensive weapon when called upon.

Amorim responded, “To play a normal game, no,” when asked if he would start up front. However, it is something that is really significant at these times.

“I only see one man who is good in the box when I put Harry as a striker. He is aware of appropriate behavior in that area.

At Old Trafford on Thursday, ten-man Lyon seized a 4-2 lead in the 109th minute, leaving United facing the possibility of missing out on European competition the next season.

However, the host team turned the quarterfinal on its head with three goals in seven minutes, and Maguire stole the show with his winning goal.

It would be amazing for the Red Devils if United defeated Athletic Bilbao in the semifinals and then won the trophy three weeks later.

For United, just doing that would be worth almost £14.8 million, and the Super Cup in Italy in August would bring in an additional £4.3 million.

But for the Glazers’ owners, Sir Jim Ratcliffe, the ticket to the Champions League the next season will be extremely important.

Due to their Uefa coefficient, they would be guaranteed approximately £49 million, and four home games would provide an additional £20 million in revenue.

Furthermore, even a mediocre season at the top table in Europe, like the one that City’s neighbors enjoyed this season, would earn them almost £11 million in prize money.

That would be an additional £5 million if they advanced to the first round of eliminations.

The Europa League also marked the beginning of Maguire’s goal-scoring career in October, when he leveled a six-goal thriller in Porto with an incredible last-minute header.

After that, he scored the game-winning goal in injury time during the 2-1 FA Cup fourth-round victory over his former team, Leicester, at Old Trafford in February.

Three weeks later, at the Theatre of Dreams, he headed the game-winning goal to save United’s blushes against relegation-bound Ipswich.

Therefore, it should come as no surprise that he has once again made excellent use of his bonce, going to great lengths to advance his team to the semi-finals on a memorable evening.

“It’s an incredible feeling — I’ve obviously managed to do it a few times this year in the last minute, the dying moments,” continued Maguire, who appeared to be headed for the exit door with West Ham less than two years ago.

“Scoring here is the best feeling in the world, especially when it’s the game-winning goal.

I’ve been at this club for six years, and I’ve experienced some incredible times here. I’ve experienced both positive and negative moments.

“My experience at the club was essentially summed up by that game.

“It was the most bizarre, crazy game I’ve ever played in or seen, and it was full of emotion.”

When United lost a 2-0 lead to go behind ten-man Lyon 4-2 in extra time, it appeared as though their turbulent season was reaching a new low.

However, three goals in seven minutes completely changed the course of the match, and Maguire stole the show at the very end.

“This season has been extremely challenging for all those involved, including the players, staff, and fans,” the Yorkshireman continued.
