In his first season, Mason Greenwood has now tied Didier Drogba for the most goals in Ligue 1 in Olympique Marseille’s history.

On Sunday, Greenwood scored his 19th league goal as Marseille defeated Brest 4-1. In his first season with the French powerhouses before joining Chelsea, Drogba scored that many goals.

Greenwood and Drogba have more Ligue 1 goals in their first season of the twenty-first century than Bafetimbi Gomis, according to Marseille.

Before leaving the UK to pursue his career in Spain due to a rape controversy, Greenwood made his breakthrough at Manchester United. Last summer, he was ultimately sold to Marseille.
