Mount spent the afternoon chatting with families of critically sick children at Christopher’s Children’s Hospice in Guildford. Since he began using hospice care, this was his first visit.
I genuinely want to spread the word about the lifeline care that Together for Short Lives and children’s hospices like Shooting Star Children’s Hospices provide to critically ill children and their families so that all families who need it can get it.
“I had a great time meeting the children today and witnessed firsthand how happy, comfortable, and full of laughter children’s hospices are.”
A UK-based nonprofit called Together for Short Lives helps families with children who are in critical condition make the most of their time together.
Christopher’s, a member of Shooting Star Children’s Hospices, is one of the 54 children’s hospices in the UK that the organization helps by raising money and awareness.
Andy Fletcher, CEO of Together for Short Lives, said, “We are glad Mason was able to meet some of the wonderful kids and families we help and see for himself what important care children’s hospices provide.”
“More families are able to get the support they need to enjoy their time together while caring for a seriously ill child thanks to his efforts to raise awareness, which is invaluable.”
