The return of winger Amad Diallo has been warmly received by Manchester United head coach Ruben Amorim, who has praised the Ivorian’s special abilities and emphasized his value to the squad.
During his news conference, Amorim talked about how hard it was to lose the 22-year-old when he was playing at his best early in the season.
Indeed, losing him was quite difficult for us since he was the person that started all of the situations at that time and then briefly passed the ball to Bruno.
“It was very difficult for us and especially for Amad, who was leaving a fantastic moment, to lose a player like that at that time with so many games. But he’s coming back now.
Although he doesn’t seem too explosive right now, he is a player with a distinctive left foot that is one versus one with Garnacho. We don’t have enough players to accomplish that. Therefore, it’s huge for us. Additionally, Amorim has indicated that he is an additional possibility to play.
Amad Diallo played in 35 games this season in all competitions prior to his injury, recording nine goals and seven assists.
