Manchester United players wore £1,000 Paul Smith outfits to get ready for the Europa League final.
By winning continental glory in Bilbao on Wednesday, the Red Devils want to atone for their worst Premier League season ever.
In addition to competing for the Europa League trophy, United will face fellow struggling team Tottenham in an attempt to qualify for the Champions League the following season.
.
The victor will be able to dismiss their awful domestic campaign as a possible exception.
With one game left, United has a record-low 10 wins and 39 Premier League points, and they are fervently hoping they may be the ones to succeed in Spain under Ruben Amorim.
However, players got fitted for suits before the Europa League match to ensure they would be in the proper frame of mind.
Before a final, United has a long history of dressing smartly, going all the way back to Sir Alex Ferguson’s heyday.
They were suit and booted prior to defeating Manchester City in the FA Cup last year.
Additionally, Paul Smith, a custom tailoring business, has recently created new ones for the Red Devils.
As stated on the Paul Smith website, their collaboration began in 2008 and “is still going strong.”
Additionally, celebrities like Mason Mount and Bruno Fernandes looked dapper in blue “Brierley” suits that cost a fortune each.
In another scene, Harry Maguire wore a blue sharkskin wool jacket and buttoned it up, looking the part.
Victor Lindelof and Christian Eriksen made sure the event had a Scandinavian vibe.
Altay Bayindir, Toby Collyer, and Leny Yoro were also in attendance for the suit fitting.
Later this week, United will be hoping that the appropriate attire can motivate them to achieve greatness.
The Brierley suit, which has a somewhat longer fit, is an evolution of the Soho block, according to Paul Smith’s website.
“We employ padding to provide a crisp, well-defined contour in our contemporary interpretation of a classic structured shoulder.
The waist is delicately contoured for a sophisticated fit, falling in between the sleek Soho and the looser Bloomsbury styles.
“The jacket has a longer body and a subtle cutaway, visually elongating the torso.”
When their players were dressed, fans reacted with joy.
“Please win guys,” one said.
.
“Looking good, guys, let’s win this,” said another.
“Hopefully, football will be as good as the tailoring,” one person wrote.
Another person said, “Looking mint.”
